Brian Paul Schaufel

Brian Paul Schaufel age 56 of Antioch, IL. Died May 1, 2016 at Journey Care Hospice of Barrington, IL.  He was born on September 18, 1959.  The son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Seaman) Schaufel.  On September 18, 2010 he was united in marriage to Hope Jones.  He worked for over 24 years for Body Craft Auto Body Repair in Antioch, IL.

Brian “the Shark” Schaufel was a 26 year member of the Aquanuts Water Show.   He was a legendary boat driver and drove the triple rig and was known for his legendary “tail walk” ending at the end of every show.   He was involved in every aspect of the team from Skier, Show Director, President and Advisor.  He was a Champion Boat Driver.  He was also a member of the Twin Runners Snowmobile Club.  He worked at Snow Cross Thunder Challenge.  He enjoyed Motorcycles and Snowmobiles and Bowling.

Brian is survived by his wife Hope.  His Daughter Ashley Schaufel of Somers, WI.  His Brother Roger (Pattie ) Schaufel of Lake Villa, IL.   and his Granddaughter Rylie DePriest.  Further survived by his Niece Michelle Schaufel (Dave) Nielsen and Great Nephew Dominic.   He was preceded in death by his sister Denise Schaufel. 

Funeral Mass 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at St. John’s the Ev. Catholic Church, 701 N Lake Avenue Twin Lakes, WI 53181 with Fr. Terry Langley officiating.  Visitation 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes, 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI.  and from 9:30AM until 10:30AM Saturday at the Church.  Interment will follow services at Mound Prairie Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Schaufel Family.  Online guest book at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
