Char and I were colleagues and friends through the Brookwood Schools. It was with great sadness that I learned of her illness and passing. Although I moved away from the Genoa City area ten years ago, I see from the other guestbook entries that Char stayed true to her teaching, musical, and life philosophies. She was a talented musician and teacher, who always gave it her all, a devoted wife, mother, colleague, and friend. She put others first and made time to listen and advise, if asked, and simply put, was a genuine, nice person. Char has touched many in her life and is and will be missed. Heartfelt sympathy to her immediate, extended, and Brookwood families.

And she played for my children"s weddings, and she played for family gatherings with singing and laughter, and yes, tears. I will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Your family is in my prayers. I have good memories of our families getting together on occasion when I was growing up. I will remember her smile and her voice and love of music.

Thank you for so many personal and professional memories. But most of all, thank you for being such a big part of our wonderful Brookwood family.

Sorry I am unable to attend Saturday. But wanted to send my love and support in your time of need. She is a wonderful mother and raised 2 great boys. I will always remember her beautiful smile as I walked past the house when I was a child. Mrs. Kazimier will forever be in so many hearts.

Mrs. Kaz. What a wonderful, caring, and great person. My family and I are honored to have known her. She was such a great mentor to my son Carter and my daughter Savannah as she was to all of her students and their families. She was always eager to help when needed and always gave great advice. Mrs. Kaz we thank you and you will always be in our hearts. To the Kazimier Family thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry for the loss, she was such a great person and never gave up. I remember her telling me to never give up, and when she came and watched me at state, she said how proud she was of the musician that I have become. I loved her so much and hate to see her gone. She will be forever in my heart. I know that for sure.

What a wonderful soul. I worked at Genoa foods and would love to hear the stories of her classes or when it was so cold during music class. She would make their own warmth . Wonderful Woman. A great Angel

Words seem inadequate to express the sadness that I feel about Charlene’s passing. She was such a giving person and always pointed out the joy within even the littlest of things. No matter what she was going through, she was full of smiles and words of encouragement to others, selfless and beautiful… “If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden…” and the magic of Char’s garden was in her music, in her soul.

Char will be deeply missed. She was an amazing colleague and friend. Her joy for music, teaching children to read, and love for our profession was contagious. There was always a point in every day working with her where she would encourage me to move forward to help students; always upbeat, always with a "can do attitude," always wanting to help students achieve more, finding new ways to reach them. She loved her students and teaching them. She leaves a wonderful legacy with her students and with her colleagues for us to continue her great work.
