Dennis "Smack" H. McKenna

Dennis H. (Smack)  McKenna, 70, of Elkhorn, WI died unexpectedly Sunday February 11, at his home.  He was born March 21, 1947 in Elkhorn, WI, the son of the late Howard and Margaret (Ledger) McKenna.  Dennis graduated from Elkhorn Area High School Class of 1965 and went on to Milton College.  He was a veteran who served from January 14, 1969 until October 22, 1970 in the United States Army.  Dennis was united in marriage to Cindy Ahearn on September 7, 1996 in Elkhorn, WI.  Dennis was a CPA Accountant who worked for over 18 years for Mann Brothers.  He later enjoyed working for Evergreen Golf Club.  Dennis loved golfing and supporting Elkhorn Athletics.  He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger fan.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Cindy, four children: Kirk (Calista) McKenna of Anchorage, AK, Nicole (Travis) Durbin of Fairbanks, AK, Ryan Ahearn and Kyle Ahearn both of Elkhorn, WI, Six grandchildren: Elsa, Luca, Luxy, Lily, Corey and Jordan. One sister, Kathleen (Jim) Smith of Lake Geneva, WI.  He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Jack Mahoney.

Celebration of Dennis’s Life will be held from 2:00 to 4:00PM on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Evergreen Golf Club, N6246 US-12 Elkhorn, WI.
