Donald J. Schiavo age 80 of Camp Lake, WI died Tuesday morning April 14, 2015 at the Aurora Medical Center-Kenosha.
Donald John Schiavo was born on March 9, 1935 in Crystal Falls, Michigan, the son of the late John and Kathryn Rondon Schiavo. On May 12, 1973 in Kenosha, WI, Donald was united in marriage to Melinda Augustine. She preceded him in death on February 12, 1989. Donald moved from Kenosha to Camp Lake in the early 1960’s.
Donald served in the U.S. Air Force as an E-3 from September 2, 1955 until discharge on May 5, 1959. He earned the Good Conduct Medal.
Donald worked as a machinist for the Komatsu Co. in Libertyville, IL for many years. He was a former member of the Powers Lake Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed football on Sunday’s and gambling.
Donald is survived by: 4 children-Rachell (Joe) Bainbridge of Lodi, WI, Edward Schiavo of Kenosha, WI, Colleen (Thomas) Robinson of Trevor, WI and Daniel (Laila) Schiavo of Camp Lake, WI; 5 grandchildren-Jacob, Alex, Megan, Dante and Raven; 2 gr. Grandchildren-Mia and Sofia; 1 sister-Rita (Bob) Leana of Amasa, MI and 1 brother-Larry (Susan) Schiavo of Amasa, MI.
He was preceded in death by 1 grandchild-Riley Willkomm-Schiavo and 1 sister-Rosemary Froblem.
A Memorial service will be held at 7:00PM Friday April 17, 2015 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home & Crematory, 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI followed by Military Honors. The Schiavo Family will receive friends from 4:00PM until the time of services at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Remembrances may be made to the Schiavo Family.
