Donna Darlene (Hunt) Means

Donna D. Means, age 80, of Twin Lakes, WI passed away at home on May 29, 2015.  She was born in Jamaica, Iowa on February 14, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Lee and Thelma (Elliott) Hunt.  On April 15, 1956 she was united in marriage to Michael Means.  A savvy and wise woman, they became part-owners of Forms Corporation of America where she was employed for over twenty five years. 

An adventurous spirit, Donna enjoyed traveling the world with family and friends and was always on the look-out for unique elephant figurines to add to her vast collection.   She was also an avid gardener with a deep appreciation for nature especially flowers, birds and rainy days.   Community and civic minded, Donna was passionate about volunteering her time at the Aurora Hospital in Burlington and as director of the Twin Lakes Food Pantry.   Known for her kindness and humility, Donna had countless life-long friends many of whom came through her involvement with the Southeastern Corvette Club; Wilmot United Methodist Church; the Birthday Club and the Red Hats Club. 

Donna is survived by her husband Michael; son David and his wife Angel of Burlington, VT.; grandchildren Patrick and Jenny Hanrahan;  son-in-law Terry Hanrahan and his wife Anna of Crystal Lake, IL.; and brother-in-law Robert Means and his wife Jan.  Donna was preceded in death by daughter Nancy Hanrahan.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 6 at 11:00AM at Calvary United Church of Christ 1511 Wilmot Ave Twin Lakes, WI.  The family will receive friends on Friday June 5, 2015 from 4:00PM-8:00PM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI.   Memorials may be made to the Twin Lakes Food Pantry 701 N.
