Edith V. (Hinish) McKaig

Edith V. McKaig, 91, of Palmer Road Lake Geneva, WI died unexpectedly Tuesday July 11, 2017 at her home.  She was born December 26, 1925 in Lake Geneva, WI the daughter of the late Charles A. and Edna (Knull) Hinish Jr.  Edith was united in marriage to Edward P. McKaig in Lake Geneva, WI on February 26, 1989.  Edith worked as a supervisor for over 15 years with Getzen Band Instrument Manufacturing of Elkhorn, WI retiring in 1985.  She was a very active member of Como Community Church, member of the choir, leader of bible study classes and served on the church board, she also volunteered with the Elkhorn Food Pantry.  Edith was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grand and great grandmother who will be deeply missed by her husband of 28 years, Edward, 4 children; Pricilla Baerbock, Daryl McKaig, Edward (Diane) McKaig all of Lake Geneva, WI and Carol King of Madison, WI, seven grandchildren plus 8 step-grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren plus 14 step-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.  Edith was preceded in death by her daughter Marilyn Lechner, 2 sisters; Marion Hilt and Ruby Hinish and 1 brother; Charles Hinish.  Funeral service will be 12:00 PM (noon) Friday July 14, 2017 at Como Community Church W3901 Palmer Road Lake Geneva, WI with Pastor Bob Kamps officiating.  Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service.  Burial will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens in the Town of Delavan, WI.  On-line guestbook is at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.  Arrangements completed by Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory of Elkhorn, WI.
