Eugene Bernard Becker

Eugene B. Becker, age 83, of Burlington, WI (Randall Township), died Saturday morning December 3, 2016 at the Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn, WI.

Eugene Bernard Becker was born on May 19, 1933 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Joseph and Edna Wertley Becker.  On May 19, 1960, Eugene was united in marriage to Barbara J. Lasco.  Eugene came to the Twin Lakes area from Chicago, IL 67 years ago.  He served in the U.S. Army.

Eugene formerly worked for the Twin Lakes Department of Public Works, then worked for Richmond High School and retired as a plastic molder for the Intermatic Corp. in Spring Grove, IL.  Eugene was a member of the Twin Lakes Vol. Fire Dept. and a founding member of the Twin Lakes Rescue Squad in 1949.  He was a lifetime member of the Baraboo Engine show and a lifetime member of the Union Grove Antique engines.  Eugene enjoyed all old time engines.

Eugene is survived by:  his wife, Barbara; 1 son, Brian (Jenny) Becker of Marquette, MI; 1 grandson, Brad (Trisha) and 2 great grandchildren, Kylie and Tristan.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Jacqueline.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Mound Prairie Cemetery, 38900 104th St. Twin Lakes, WI.  The Becker Family is requesting that Memorial Remembrances in Eugene’s name be made to the Twin Lakes Fire Dept. and Rescue Squad, 236 E. Main St. Twin Lakes, WI. 53181.
