He attended Marquette University School of Dentistry from 1948-1952. He practiced dentistry in Clinton, WI from 1952 until 1992; a profession he loved and served faithfully. He attended numerous post-graduate studies to keep abreast of changing techniques and improvements.

Frank was honored as one of the Jaycees Five Outstanding Young Men in Wisconsin in 1960.

As a youth, he started using his hands to build and race in the Soap Box Derby in Madison. His hobby became woodworking, which continued into retirement, making lots of gifts for children and grandchildren, some furniture, and even entered a couple of craft shows.

In 1997, he and Jean moved to Blue Spring Lake, Palmyra, WI where they had a cottage for many years. Frank became involved in the area as President of the Blue Spring Lake Management District, a member of 40 and 8, the Masonic Lodge, ROMEOs (Retired Old Men Eating Out), and St. Matthew Lutheran Church. For 15 years, he and his wife wintered for three months in The Villages, FL.
