John E Reynolds

John E. Reynolds, age 89, of Genoa City, WI (Town of Randall), died Sunday evening November 6, 2016 at his home.

John Eugene Reynolds was born on September 23, 1927 in Belvidere, IL, the son of the late Fred and Rosalie Huml Reynolds.  On June 7, 1952, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Richmond, IL, John was united in marriage to Betty J. Diedrich.

John served in the U.S. Army.  John has farmed his entire life on the Reynolds Family Farm which he is the 6th generation to farm the 1848 Homestead.  John met the love of his life in a church choir.    John has been a longtime member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Twin Lakes.  He has sung in the choirs of 3 different churches, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Richmond, IL, St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Lake Geneva, WI and St. John the Evangelist in Twin Lakes.   He was also a charter member of the Twin Runners Snowmobile club.   

John was a charter member of the Powers Lake Sportsman’s Club, a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Farm Bureau.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

John is survived by:  His wife of 64 years, Betty; 4 children, Lee (Kathy Blaul) Reynolds of Powers Lake, WI, Diane (Ray) East of Redding, CA, Gary (Mariann Omiatek) Reynolds of Twin Lakes, WI and Karen (Mark) Hodges of Scottsdale, AZ; 7 grandchildren of which 5 are married and 9 great grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by 1 grandson, Michael John Reynolds and a sister, Jean Reith.

The Reynolds Family will receive friends from 4:00PM until 8:00PM Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home in Twin Lakes and at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 701 N. Lake Ave. Twin Lakes on Saturday from 10:00AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM.  Interment will be in Mound Prairie Cemetery.  Memorial remembrances may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 701 N. Lake Ave. Twin Lakes WI 53181.  The Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home of Twin Lakes is serving the Reynolds Family.
