Karen M. Faber, age 69, of Salem, WI, died Monday morning November 28, 2016 at the United Hospital System-St. Catherine’s Campus.
The former Karen Margaret Miller was born on January 21, 1947, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Ray and Margaret Miller. Karen has been a lifelong resident of Kenosha County. She has been a bus driver for Dousman Transport (Wilmot Union High School and Lakewood Grade School) for the past 22 years.
Karen enjoyed sewing, quilting and fishing.
Karen is survived by: a daughter, Michelle Cooper of Salem, WI; a son, James Faber of Virginia; 3 stepchildren, Kim (Cory) Wohlrab of Mauston, WI, Kristi (Jim) Lejcar of Salem, WI and Kyle (Carrie) Oldenburg; 9 grandchildren, Tyler (Susan), Ethan, Lane, Lexi, Landon, Braden, Megan, Caden and Jaden;
Karen was preceded in death by: her parents and her longtime significant other, Ronald Oldenburg who died on January 18, 2016.
A Memorial gathering will be held on Sunday from 2:00PM to 5:00PM at the Schultz-Hahn American Legion, 307 N. Cogswell Dr. Silver Lake, WI. Everyone is asked to wear their favorite Packer attire. Memorial remembrances may be made to the Faber Family, in care of, Box 310, Twin Lakes, WI. 53181. The Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory of Twin Lakes is serving the Faber Family.
