Leif Ericksen

Leif Ericksen, age 82, of Twin Lakes, WI passed away Tuesday morning February 14, 2017 at the Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, WI.

Leif was born in Chicago, IL on March 17, 1934, the son of the late Alf and Ruth Jensen Ericksen.  He grew up in Silver Lake, WI. Leif was united in marriage to Sandra Lee Bunce on April 19, 1958 in Twin Lakes, WI. 

Leif served in the U.S. Army and also the Naval Reserve.  He moved to Twin Lakes in 1958.  He worked as a salesman for the Engelwood Electrical Supplies in Crystal Lake, IL for many years.  He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Twin Lakes.  He was also a member of the Twin Lakes American Legion Post #544 and the Twin Lakes Sportsman Club.  He was an avid Packer Fan and enjoyed fishing at his cabin in Winter, WI.

Leif is survived by: his wife, Sandra; 2 sons, Eric (Shelly) Ericksen of Silver Lake, WI and Brad (Dana Denton) Ericksen of Helenville, WI; 4 grandchildren, Tomlyn-Tae (Brice) Schambow, Ashley (Joe) Hurst, Aurielle (Tony) Sanchez and Tyler (Sara) Ginkel; 5 great grandchildren, Kaiden, Chevelle, Carter, Roman and Demy; 1 brother, Arthur (Dian) Ericksen of Oconomowoc, WI and 2 young friends, Katy and Elizabeth.  He was preceded in death by an infant twin brother, Alf.

The Ericksen Family would like to Thank the Nurses at Lakeland Medical Center for their care and compassion to Leif during his stay there.

The Ericksen Family will receive friends from 10:00AM Saturday February 18, 2017 until the time of Funeral Services at 12:00PM at Messiah Lutheran Church, 8720 368th Ave, Twin Lakes, WI.  Private Family interment will be in Mound Prairie Cemetery.  Memorial Remembrances in Leif’s name may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 808, Twin Lakes, WI 53181.  The Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory of Twin Lakes is serving the Ericksen Family.
