Leland “Rip” “Poosie” “Pooz” A. Pacey, age 86 died Friday evening March 30, 2018 at his home.

Leland Arthur Pacey was born on November 26, 1931 in Wilmot, WI, the son of the late Cyril and Elsie (Ehlert) Pacey.  On April 14, 1952, Leland was united in marriage to Tekla Dubane.  She preceded him in death on September 12, 1999. 

Leland served in the U.S. Army from April 18, 1952 until discharge on March 16, 1954.  He earned the Korean Service Ribbon with 2 Bronze Service stars, the United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.  Following his military service, Leland worked for Bovee’s Farm, Fred Schmalfeldt, Rollies on 50 and Trevor Feed Mill.  During his lifetime, Leland worked 27 years for the Kenosha County Highway Department and 48 years for Wilmot Auto.

Leland served for over 30 years on Wilmot Vol. Fire Department and was a member of the Wilmot American Legion Post #361 in Wilmot.  His greatest passion and love was attending to his yard and  feeding the birds and squirrels.  He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badgers Fan.  He enjoyed spending time with family, whether it be at the cousin’s luncheons or the Saturday family breakfast in Richmond.  He also attended the monthly Highway Department Retiree’s breakfast.

Leland is survived by his three children, Leland (Diane) Pacey of Twin Lakes, WI, Tammy (Joseph) Robinson of Salem, WI and Timothy Pacey of Silver Lake, WI.  He is further survived by 6 grandchildren, Chad (Natalie) Robinson, Athena (Ryan) Williams, Justin Pacey, Darci (Eric) Thommen, Lauren and Adam Pacey; 4 great grandchildren, Hunter, Tristan, Charlie and Violet. Further survived by his companion, Carol Nickel, sister, Susan McRae, sister in law, MaryLou Pacey and many nieces and nephews.

Leland was preceded in death by his sisters, Charlotte “Toddy” (the late “Dutch”) Haase, Doris “Dode” (the late Wion “Bob”) Speaker and Joann (the late Ray) Stoxen, brother, Harold “Stub” Pacey, brother in law, Elroy McRae and brother in law, George “Ish” Feldkamp.

A special thankyou to Dr. David Knight, Dr. Anna Silenzi and Dr. Mitchell Ziarko, St. Joseph’s Rehab Facility and Aurora at Home.

A gathering of friends will be held from 9:00AM Saturday, April 7, 2018 until the time of Memorial Services at 12:00PM at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Homes and Crematory, 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI.  Inurnment with Military Honors will be in Wilmot Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, Memorial Remembrances may be made to the Pacey Family at P.O.
