Maria Esther Gomez

Maria E. Gomez, age 74, of Necedah, WI, passed away Monday evening April 3, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Pell Lake, WI in the presence of her family.

Maria was born on January 19, 1941 in Uvalde, Texas, the daughter of the late Marcella Juarez.  She lived in Texas until moving to Necedah, WI 10 years ago.  In January of 1962, Maria was united in marriage to Armando G. Gomez in Texas.

Maria formerly worked as a receptionist for the McHenry School District.  She enjoyed reading, listening to music, sewing and crafting.

Maria is survived by:  her husband, Armando; 3 daughter’s, Veronica (Joseph) Liszek of Pell Lake, WI, Olga Voss of Woodstock, IL and Lucinda Gomez of Pell Lake, WI; 5 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Susie Robles of Uvalde, TX and Mamie Carabajal of Amarillo, TX.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Alejandro Juarez and Vicente Uriegs.

The Gomez Family will receive friends from 9:00AM until Prayers at 10:30AM Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory, 113 Freeman St. Genoa City, WI.  Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11:00AM Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Richmond, IL.  Interment will be at 2:00PM at Christ the King Cemetery in Wonder Lake, IL.  Memorial remembrances may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Ave. Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 or PanCan.org.  The Haase-Lockwood & Assoc.
