Marjorie Jane (Brown) Welch

Marjorie Jane Welch: 93, of N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI died peacefully Wednesday February 1, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family.  She was born May 30, 1923 in Elk Creek, WI, the daughter of the late Clark and Mamie (Anderson) Brown.  She was united in marriage to Ervin H. Welch on December 3, 1948 in Dubuque, Iowa.  Marjorie was a former member of the Delavan Clown Town Cloggers, she was active with the Elkhorn VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling and sewing.  She was an accomplished seamstress working from her home for many years retiring in 2002.  Marjorie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; who will be deeply missed by her husband of 68 years, Ervin, three children; Terry (Kathy) Welch of Delavan, WI, Mark (James Houlihan) Welch of Orlando, FL and Renee Welch of Hanover Park, IL, two grandchildren; Erik (Barbara) Welch of Genoa City, WI and Kevin (Brittany) Welch of Janesville, WI, four great-grandchildren; Colton, Calista, Ethan and Charlie and by a host of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her four brothers and three sisters.  Funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday February 7, 2017 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI with Rev. William McBride officiating.  Burial will be at Hazel Ridge Cemetery Elkhorn, WI.  Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made in Marjorie’s name to Lakeland Animal Shelter PO Box 1000 Elkhorn, WI 53121.
