Richard Neal Maddox

Richard N. Maddox, age 54, of Genoa City, WI, passed away Wednesday morning, February 15, 2017 at the Clement J. Zablocki Veteran’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI with his family by his side.

Richard Neal Maddox was born on May 26, 1962 in McKinley County, New Mexico, the son of Richard D. and Velma C. Jones Maddox.  Richard was united in marriage to Kellene “Kelly” Domino on June 18, 1986 in Waukegan, IL.

Richard served in the U.S. Navy as an E6 from August 26, 1986 until discharge on December 7, 1990.  Richard earned the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Expert Rifle Shot Medal, Expert Pistol Shot Medal and Good Conduct award.  While in the Navy, he taught the young recruits how to shoot.

Richard lived in Delaware before moving to Genoa City in 2000.  He worked as an Internet Service Technician for Geneva Online in Lake Geneva, WI. He was an active member of the Genoa City Lions Club and the Loyal Order of Odd Fellows in Richmond, IL.  He loved to hunt, fish and target shoot.

Richard is survived by: His wife Kellene “Kelly”; his mother Velma Ferguson of Dodge City, KS; 2 stepchildren, Katherine (Michael) Schietroma of Newark, Delaware and Kevin Radunz of Genoa City, WI; 3 grandchildren, Michael, Mark and Rachel; 1 sister, Belinda Loya of Dodge City, KS and 1 brother, Martin Maddox of Dodge City, KS.

He was preceded in death by his father Richard D. Maddox.

Services with Military Honors will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI.  The Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory of Genoa City is serving the Maddox Family.
