Richard C. Tarczynski

Richard C. Tarczynski, age 90, of the Village of Bloomfield, WI (Pell Lake), passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at East Troy Manor in East Troy, WI.

Richard Conrad Tarczynski was born on November 19, 1927 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Augusta Felske.  On November 20, 1949 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Chicago, IL, Richard was united in marriage to Elaine D. Trembay.  They lived in Spring Grove, IL, until moving to Pell Lake 28 years ago.

Richard served in the U.S. Army as a Tec5 (Corporal ) from March 26, 1946 until discharge on September 10, 1947.  He served in Japan from July 1946 until returning on July 21, 1947.  He earned the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal-Japan.

  He formerly worked as a welder for the Modine Company in Ringwood, IL for 18 years.  He enjoyed watching movies especially westerns and war movies.  He also enjoyed golfing, NASCAR and going up north. He was an avid Chicago Bears Fan.  He loved his dog-Lulu.  He was a former member of the Silver Lake Schultz-Hahn American Legion Post #293.  He was also a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pell Lake.

Richard is survived by:  his wife, Elaine; 4 children, Bill (Cathy) Tarczynski of Ingleside, IL, Paulette (Carl) Janssen of Janesville, WI, James (Ida) Tarczynski of Lake Geneva, WI and Deborah (Ben) Orbeck of Pell Lake, WI; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Richard and Michael Tarczynski and 12 brothers and sisters.

The Tarczynski Family will receive friends from 11:00AM until the services at 2:00PM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory, 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI. Memorial remembrances may be made in Richard’s name to the Lakeland Animal Shelter, P.O.
