Roy C. Kautz, age 90, of Genoa City, WI, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 24, 2017 at the Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington surrounded by his family.
Roy Charles Kautz was born on August 16, 1926 in Geneva Township, Wi, the son of the late Charles F. and Grace C. Miller Kautz. On August 28, 1947 in Waukegan, IL, Roy was united in marriage to Delores (Dolly) Weber. Dolly preceded Roy in death on October 23, 2006. Roy has been a lifelong resident of the Genoa City area.
Roy formerly worked as a truck driver for Belden Oil Co. in Richmond, IL for 26 years. He attended the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Genoa City. He was a member of the Harvard Moose Lodge and the Harvard Moose Golden Agers. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, traveling with Dolly and especially enjoyed fishing. He also enjoyed plowing for local farmers.
Roy is survived by: 2 daughters, Peggy (Larry) Quake and Cindy (Bob) Brick, both of Genoa City, WI; 3 grandchildren, Becki Heinen, Debbie Bohl and Dale Quake; 3 great grandchildren, Katie and Jenna Brick and Josalyn Mack; 1 brother, William (Dorothy) Kautz of Genoa City, WI and a sister in law, Gerry Ritzert of Richmond, IL.
Roy was preceded in death by a half sister Helen McCalester and a grandson, Micheal.
The Kautz Family will receive friends from 4:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home, 113 Freeman St. Genoa City, WI. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery.
