I am so sorry to learn that Steven has passed. He had a big heart and will always remembered for that. I hope a passage at John 5:28,29 brings comfort to your family as it has to me when we lose someone so dear to us. Your family will be in my prayers.

For almost twenty years Steve has been filling our home with his kind words and spirit lifting voice. Always gave me good advice when asked and always patient with my rookie questions. I wish I could have gotten to know him in person. I pray for strength for all who did know him. I know I have learned many things from his willingness to share his hobby and his knowledge. Thank you for sharing him with me!

Steve touched so many lives through his involvement in Scouting. There are literally hundreds of young men who can reflect on the lessons Steve shared about life, exploring their world, and using their hands. Steve's commitment to his family and his community is commendable: he will be sincerely missed.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said. “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well”.

Steve lived his life in the service of others and that as far I could see made him happy. Steve was an active member in the amateur radio community. He reported the weather, tinkered with digital communications, elmered more than could be easily counted . And he did it with a smile on his face. And a pep in his step.

Steve will be remembered well by those of us who knew him by N9LOH. His passing has made for some pretty big shoes to be filled. And his dedication to service has set a benchmark that will not be easy met.

Thank you for sharing him with us.

So sorry to hear of Steve's passing. We will always remember him as being a great role model to our son and all young boys that were in the boy scouts over the years. May your family find peace at this difficult time.
