I met "Red" Lepeska (as he was known then) in our freshman year at Marquette. Starting our sophmore year, he and I shared an apartment at 32nd and Michigan in Milwaukee. He was one of the finest people I knew in college, and I know he will be sorely missed. My sincere sympathy to all his family.

I tried to upload a picture of him from that apartment, I am not sure I succeeded.

Dear Marilyn,
Victor and I were very sorry to hear about Will's passing. We hope that you find comfort in your many good memories and in the company of your children. I loved Will's freshness and inventiveness and cherish these qualities in Pete. I can see that Ona too inherited these happy maverick qualities. She's just such fun and good company, as are her sisters. I am very happy to be co-grandparents with you and Will. I remember him as wonderful man, enlivening everything he touched.
Warm wishes, Judy

I was wills brother jacks local MD plus I grew up in new Prague . My mother told me stories about Will and his success leading to my choosing electrical engineering as a pre med bachelors degree at MIT prior to entering the
U of M med school. My father who was a
MD also in new Prague said our field would become more technical, so I decided on EE as a prep , knowing Wills success. My condolences to all his family.

I read of Will's passing in our hometown newspaper...many happy memories of a special friend of my youth. Will was known to as "Lopper" but also "Wiffy" to his school friends. We lived two blocks apart and walked together to school and football practice..about one mile from our homes. We worked together for a few summers at the Green Giant canning factory in a neighboring town taking turns driving Will's old Chevy and my 1934 Plymouth with a stop for a beer on our way home from long work shift hours. Wiffy was open, honest, funny, smart...a neat young man. I read that Wiffy had eight children in 10 years; Connie and I had six children in 8 years. I wonder if there was something in the Green Giant peas that we processed. I'm 85 Wiffy...will see you soon. God's blessings on his wife and entire family.

Dear Lepeska Family, my name is Stan and my wife and I had the privilege of meeting Wil the first time when he and Marilyn attended the MU ENGINEERING BRUNCH, AUCTION AND BASKETBALL GAME, about 11 years ago. As a MU alum, a graduate in electrical engineering from MU, and the newly appointed DEAN of the College of Engineering at MU, Wil and I had a lot in common. That was followed by several meetings over the years, wherein Wil shared his idea for an innovative new company, Wisconsin Medical Cyclotron. I enjoyed his vision, his enthusiasm and his innovation. And, I was impressed that here was a model of an innovative Marquette engineer. The last time we saw Wil and Marilyn was about a year ago last August, in DOOR COUNTY, where Wil and Marilyn, Wayne and Murphy Robins and a third MU ALUM couple were spending a reunion weekend. Wil was a GIANT OF AN ENGINEER, and a warm, concerned human being. He made the world a better place and we were blessed to know him. The thread of life is fragile, and he lived his life as we all should. We keep you all in our prayers. Warmest blessings,

I always new Will was a role model for the guys in Triangle. He was for Tom. I had no knowledge of his childhood. He lived a great life but I am sure you were still not ready to lose him. My prayers are with you, Marilyn, and your family.

Among my best memories of Carmel for Girls High School are the Lepeskas. My heart goes out to you at this time when you are reshaping your lives. Because your dad died at this holiday time, he will always be with you in a special way at future Thanksgivings. My prayers are with you all.
