William R.H. Swinford, Jr.

William R. H. Swinford, Jr. age 66 of Bloomfield, WI (Pell Lake) died Tuesday morning November 24, 2015 at his home.

William Robert Howard Swinford was born on June 9, 1949 in Lansing, MI, the son of the late William R. H. and Evelyn Jean Brown Swinford, Sr.. On December 16, 1990 in Lake Geneva, WI, William was united in marriage to Kathleen Anne “Kitty” Busse.  William came to Pell Lake in 1977 from Lansing, MI.

Williams served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps from January 8, 1967 until discharge on January 6, 1969.  He received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Combat Action Ribbon.

William worked as a driller/installer for the Huemann Well and Pump Services in Slades Corners, WI.  He enjoyed race cars, working on them and racing at the Lake Geneva, Wilmot and Lansing Raceways throughout the years.   He was an Emergency Medical Technician and served with the Bloomfield Fire Dept. and Rescue and served a Captain of the Fire Dept.  He was also a member of the Paul C. Hoffman American Legion Post #253 in Richmond, IL.

William is survived by:  His wife Kitty; 5 children-Karen (David) Hauck of Beloit, WI, Steven L. Swinford of Chicago, IL, Dawn (Erik) Lippert of Schaumburg, IL, Lance (Kim) Yanke of Salem, WI, Audrey (Steve) Chochola of Lake Geneva, WI; 11 grandchildren; 7 gr. Grandchildren; 1 brother-David (Julie) Swinford of Katy, TX and 1 sister-Elizabeth (Dale) Ouderkirk of Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother-Kenneth.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00PM Monday November 30, 2015 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory, 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI.  The Swinford Family will receive friends from 4:00PM until the time of Services on Monday.  Memorial remembrances may be made to Aurora At Home Hospice 103 N. Dodge St. Burlington, WI 53105.
