Wynelle (Adkins) Jerde

Wynelle Jerde, age 83, passed away October 26, 2015 at Holton Manor in Elkhorn, WI. Wynelle was born on September 14, 1932 in Cordele, GA. The daughter of the late V.P. and Katie (Shell) Adkins. On November 26, 1952 in Cordele, GA, she was united in marriage to Eugene Jerde.  Wynelle and Eugene operated the Wilmot Cafe for many years. She also worked as a cook at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Twin Lakes, WI.  In her earlier years she worked as a telephone operator and was a member of the Wilmot Grade School Mother's Club. She enjoyed collecting beanie babies. She liked to do word search puzzles and was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed spending time surrounded by her family, holidays were very special to her.

            She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Eugene, children: Deborah (Carl) Habendott of Camp Lake, WI, Gary Jerde of Round Lake Beach, IL, Karen (Eric) Heckel of Trevor, WI. Further survived by 7 grandchildren: Steven Jerde, Karry Habendott, Katie (Chris) Lister, Paula (Aaron) Williams, Monica Heckel, Shane (Katy) Heckel and Brent Heckel. 6 Great grandchildren: Lucas Thomas, Steven Thomas, Makaylie Heckel, Gabe Lister, Kyler Heckel, and Braelynn Heckel. Brothers-in-law James Ulm and Harley (RoseAnn) Jerde and sister-in-law Myrtle Adkins, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters: Pauline Adkins, Elsie Ulm and brothers: Alton Adkins,Virgil Adkins, A.J. Adkins and 1 infant brother.

            Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI. 53181. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church 7931 US 45 Bristol, WI 53104.  Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or the Alzheimers Association.
