Rodney J Erb Sr.

Rodney J Erb Sr “Papa Bear” age 75 of Ingleside, IL passed away peacefully at his home on April 21, 2024.  He was born in Soda Springs, ID on August 11, 1948.  The son of the late Jay (Nova) Erb and Gayle Sibbett-Pike.  On July 1, 1995, he was united in marriage to Catherine Rys-Hermanek.  

Rodney spent many years working for the Mount Prospect Public Works and was the former Director of Round Lake Beach Public Works.  After retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping up north in Wisconsin with his family, painting, making arrows, woodworking and more.  He took great pride in spending time with his entire family.  

Survived by his wife Catherine.  Father to RJ (Stephaine) Erb, Kim (Jeff) Manford.  Stepfather to Jennifer (Jesse) Aull and Kim (Bill) Tarenski.  Grandfather of Shelby, Jake, Coleby, Brandi, Amber, Jessica.  Great grandfather of Judah.  Brother to Randy Pike.  Further survived by a niece and nephew.  He was preceded in death by his father Jay (Nova) Erb and Mother Gayle Pike.  

Visitation will be held on Thursday April 25, 2024, from 10:00AM until 1:00PM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home 113 Freeman St.  Genoa City, WI.   Graveside services with military honors will be held immediately following at Bloomfield Cemetery, Pell Lake, WI.   The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home of Genoa City, WI is honored to serve the Erb family.
