Funeral Directors

Bruce D. Haase

Bruce D. Haase

Bruce was born in Elkhorn, WI and raised in Genoa City, WI. He is a 1970 graduate of Badger High School in Lake Geneva, WI. In 1975, he graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College with an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science. Bruce came to work in the family Funeral Home, Haase Funeral Home in Genoa City in 1974. After completing his apprenticeship in 1975, he became licensed with the State of Wisconsin as a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. He then obtained his Illinois Funeral Directors license. Bruce and his wife Nanette, have two children, Andrew, a licensed Funeral Director with the family firm and Kathryn, a kindergarten teacher at Bristol Grade School, Bristol, WI. Bruce enjoys fishing, especially in Minnesota, golfing and cruising the countryside in his 1995 Corvette. Bruce is a member of the Genoa City Lion's Club and the Twin Lakes Area Chamber and Business Association where he served as president several years ago. He was a former member of the Genoa City Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad from 1971 until 1979 serving as Rescue Squad Captain. In 1979, Bruce moved to the Funeral Home in Twin Lakes, WI, there he joined the Twin Lakes Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad serving in all positions within the department, retiring as Fire Chief on December 31, 2009. He is still active as an Emergency Medical Technician on the department. When asked, why funeral service? Bruce's response is "I grew up in the family business and watched my father helping families through the most trying times of their life. I like to think that I am carrying on his tradition of treating every family as if they are the only one going through a tough time, then I feel that I have done my part in making their funeral or other arrangements a memorable experience."

Tim Lockwood

Tim Lockwood

Tim was born and raised in Elkhorn, WI. He is a 1976 graduate from Elkhorn High School. He graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College with an associate degree in Mortuary Science in 1980. In 1983 he started the Lockwood Funeral Home in Elkhorn. Tim and his wife Mary have four children, Alex, Daniel, Drew and Megan. Tim enjoys the outdoors, bird watching, fishing, and working in his yard. He is a member and past president of the Elkhorn Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and serving trustee.  He served as town board supervisor for the Town of Geneva and on the Walworth County Board Supervisors for 3 terms. He was a member and vice chairman of Lakeland Nursing Home Board of Trustees. Former member Walworth County Public Health Advisory Board and served on the Board of Directors for V.I.P. Services of Elkhorn. Why funeral service? "I firmly feel this is not just a job but a ministry, it sounds coy, but I attended a funeral for my great uncle at the age of ten and from that time on I knew I wanted to be a funeral director. I find it an honor and privilege to be allowed into the life of a family during one of the most personal and difficult moments in their lifetime. For me to be able to provide help and support to that family is truly satisfying and rewarding".

Andrew D. Haase

Andrew D. Haase

Andrew is a third generation Funeral Director. In 1996, he graduated from Muskego High School, Muskego, WI. In 2001, he graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College with an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science. Andy came to work for the family business to carry on the traditions that his grandfather Dave started back in 1953. He is now a Licensed Funeral Director and Pre-need Insurance Agent in Wisconsin and Illinois. Andy is married to Suzie who works as a Dental Hygienist. They have two sons Sean and Evan.   Andy has been a member of the Twin Lakes Fire Department since 1998. He is licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician-IV Tech and serves as a Lieutenant on the Fire Department. Andy is a past Vice President of the Southeastern District of the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association. When asked, why funeral service? "I have been around this business since the day I was born, literally, my house growing up was connected to the Funeral Home and I grew up being around this business. I watched my grandfather and father helping families through difficult times. I wanted to carry on what they started".

Kelly Anderson

Kelly Anderson

Kelly attended the University of Wisconsin Marshfield Campus followed by attending the Milwaukee Area Technical College where she received a Associates Degree in Mortuary Science. She began working in the funeral service in 2004 for Legacy Funeral Home in East Troy. In 2006 she began working full time for Mealy's Funeral Homes. Kelly is a member of the Eagle Lioness, The Palmyra Chamber of Commerce, The Eagle Business Association,  and the National Funeral Directors Association. Why Funeral Service? "The funeral service offers enormous satisfaction". Involvement in the larger question of life, and pride in being entrusted with the care of someone's loved one. I treat the living as well as the deceased with respect. I hope that I bring comfort in the time of need. I am often honored to hear life stories. I work with individuals and entire families and each occasion is different. Each individual and family is unique. I take my responsibilities and opportunities seriously and am proud to serve the Palmyra and Eagle communities."

Daniel Lockwood

Daniel Lockwood

Daniel is a second generation funeral director.  He was born and raised in Elkhorn, WI where he was a 2009 high school graduate.  In 2013 Daniel graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Mortuary Science.  Daniel is dedicated to carrying out the honorable tradition of service that he grew up watching his own father do.  Daniel is married to his wife Tracey who works in Delavan, WI as an investigative specialist.  On their free time they enjoy taking their Black Lab out swimming or on hiking trails.  Daniel also enjoys golfing, fishing, bowling, and spending time outdoors.  When asked; why funeral service?  “It takes a considerable amount of faith and trust for a family to let someone they just met, guide them through the difficult time of losing a loved one.  I consider it a great honor and a privilege to be called upon by families to carry out their needs.  I grew up watching my father lead many families through their difficult times, and I knew early on that I wanted to continue that tradition.  I feel that families need to be treated as if they were a member of my own, and that’s what continues to call me to serve as a funeral director.”

Kate Brugger

Kate Brugger

Kate Brugger was born in Elkhorn, WI and raised in Walworth, WI, where she currently resides. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where she earned her BBA in Integrated Business Science. After realizing her passion and commitment toward funeral services, Kate continued her education at Milwaukee Area Technical College, earning her associates degree in Mortuary Sciences and becoming a Licensed Funeral Director. Kate is married to Cody Brugger, who works for an insurance agency. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, boating, and going to the movies. When asked, Why the funeral service? "I believe families are trusting and confiding in me with their loved ones and I find pride in being able to provide this service to families in a time of need. I treat everyone as if they are a member of my own family."
