Carolyn B. Gramley, age 98, of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully Friday, September 7, 2018 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center. She was born April 21, 1920, in Tuscola, Illinois, the daughter of Cecilia and Clarence Bell. She married Marvin Gramley on June 11, 1971, in Williams Bay, Wisconsin. Carolyn graduated from Champaign High School and attended the University of Illinois. She worked at George Williams College of Aurora University in Williams Bay for 25 years retiring in 1985. She was a member of the United Church of Christ – Congregational in Williams Bay, serving on several committees.
She surrounded her family with love and acceptance: Michael (Evelyn) Burch of Oregon, WI, and Dr. Patrick (Kathy) Burch of Rochester, MN; daughter-in-law Susan Burch of Colgate, WI; step children Gary (Jill) Gramley of Fort Atkinson, WI, Patricia (James) Dollins of The Villages in Florida; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 sons Dr. Kim Burch and Scott Burch; and her husband, Marvin Gramley.
Memorial service will be 10:30AM on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at United Church of Christ, 46 Stam St. Williams Bay, WI.
