Carolyn Ann (Tannahill) Mau

Carolyn Ann Mau (nee Tannahill) died peacefully after a brief illness at her residence in Burlington, WI. on September 1, 2017 at the age of 75.

Carolyn was born in Norfolk, VA on May 24, 1942 to Robert and Sarah Tannahill (nee Scott).   She graduated from Rockford West High School in 1960 and worked at several jobs before becoming a jewelry department manager in Woodstock, IL.  She married Robert Mau in 1964.  They relocated to Warner Robins, GA.  Where she lived until shortly after her husband’s death, when she moved back to the “frozen north” of Wisconsin to be closer to much of her family.  

Her children remember her as a loving mother who encouraged them to achieve their goals.  The family enjoyed camping together.  Carolyn enjoyed doing crewel embroidery, reading, and was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ in Warner Robins.  

Carolyn is survived by three daughters, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by an adult son and her beloved husband of 46 years, Robert Mau.  

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 16, 2017 at 2:00PM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 113 Freeman ST.  Genoa City, WI.   Visitation will be from 1:00PM until time of service at the Funeral Home.  Graveside inurnment will take place immediately following the service at Hillside Cemetery Genoa City, WI.   In lieu of flowers, we believe Carolyn would feel better honored by a donation to the charity of your choice.  Online condolences Haaselockwoodfhs.com.
