Catherine Duros Obituary

Catherine M. Duros, age 93 of Lake Geneva, WI, passed away Sunday morning, March 10, 2019 at Arbor Village in Lake Geneva.

The former Catherine Mary DiLeonardo was born on September 18, 1925 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Ignatius and Gelorma Torretta DiLeonardo. On June 5, 1948 in Chicago, IL, Catherine was united in marriage to George John Duros, Jr. George preceded Catherine in death on June 15, 1972. They lived in Chicago until moving to Genoa City in 1957.

Caherine worked as a secretary for the Traveler’s Insurance Company in Waukesha, WI. She was a former member and past president of the Brookwood School PTA. She was also a member of the Sponholtz-Deignan American Legion Post #183 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking and reading.

Catherine is survived by: Her children, Gerri (John) Duros-Cooper of Genoa City, WI, Georgia (William) Modica of McHenry, IL, George (Debbie) Duros of New Berlin, WI, Ignatius (Peg) Duros of Franksville, WI, Janice (John) Kastning of Wisconsin Dells, WI, Ron Duros of Antioch, IL, Leon (Lori) Duros of Lake Geneva, WI, Jeff (Jacque) Duros of Lake Geneva, WI and Mark (Betsy) Flynn-Duros of Waterford, WI; Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, George Duros and a daughter in law, Debra Duros.

A private visitation and funeral service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home in Genoa City. Interment will follow services in Hillside Cemetery.
