Charles David Smith

Charles David Smith age 92 of Lake Geneva, WI. Formerly of Genoa City, WI peacefully entered into the arms of his heavenly father on May 24, 2018.

He was born on the Gifford Farm in Genoa City, WI on November 21, 1925.  The son of the late Edward and Evelyn (Gifford) Smith.   On July 23, 1949 in Lafayette Township, WI he was united in marriage to Bonnie Christison who preceded him in death in 2015.  He worked for a local furniture store before owning The House of Furniture in Richmond, IL. Some years later he worked in Crystal Lake and Waukegan.  After retirement he continued to work for Lovely Carpets in Twin Lakes, WI.   Charles served in the United States Army from 1944-1945.   In 2014 he had the privilege to go on the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.  He was so grateful to be able to go.   

Charles was a member of Calvary Community Church in Williams Bay, WI. He was very active in church choir.  He enjoyed mowing the lawn, fix it jobs and using his putting green in the backyard.  He was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. 

He is survived by his two daughters:  Pamela Smith of Kokomo, IN.  and Donna (David) Kriofsky of Lake Geneva, WI.   Further survived by two sisters: Muriel (Russ) Skinkle and Carol (Chuck) Rowntree.  He was preceded in death by two Sisters Dolores Parrot and Alice Rogers.  Further survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.     

Funeral Services will be held on June 2, 2018 at 11:00AM at Calvary Community Church in Williams Bay, WI.  Burial with Full Military Honors will be at Oakridge Cemetery in East Troy, WI at 3:00PM.
