Dorothy M (Willis) Ceremuga

Dorothy M. Ceremuga age 98, of Rifle, CO. and formally of Twin Lakes, WI passed away peacefully at the E. Dene Moore Care Center in Rifle, CO on August 6, 2018.  She was born on July 25, 1920 in Chicago, IL.  The daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (Wesolowski) Willis.   She was united in marriage to John Joseph Ceremuga who preceded in her death in 1959. 

In 1955, Dorothy and John moved from Chicago, IL to Twin Lakes, WI and together they owned and operated the 5 & 10 Village Variety Store in Twin Lakes.   Dorothy was an active member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Twin Lakes, and was a member of the Ladies Sodality of ST. John’s.  She was also the Treasurer for the Village of Twin Lakes for many years.  In 1994, Dorothy moved to New Castle, CO with her son Joe and resided there for the last 24 years.  

Dorothy is survived by her children, Rita (Harry) Lovely of Olympia, WA, Joe Ceremuga of New Castle, CO and Jack (Christine) Ceremuga of Germantown, WI.  She is further survived by 5 Grandchildren 5 Great Grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by one Granddaughter Joan Angela Lovely in 1968.

A Christian mass will be held on August 11, 2018 at 4:30 PM at St. Mary’s Church in Rifle, CO.  There will be an inurnment of her ashes at St. John’s Cemetery in Twin Lakes, WI at a later date.  Memorials in her name may be made to E Dene Moore Care Center in Rifle, CO at 701 E. 5th St.  Rifle, CO 81650.  Online condolences Haaselockwoodfhs.com.
