Eileen Wenk, age 76, of McHenry, IL, passed away suddenly Monday morning, October 2, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Twin Lakes, WI.
Eileen was born on May 10, 1941 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Leonardo and Mary Lucchesi Coniglio. Eileen formerly lived in Twin Lakes, WI, before moving to McHenry 12 years ago.
Eileen worked for over 30 years as a supervisor at Baxter Travenol in Round Lake, IL retiring in 1999. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to casinos, fairs and doing bonfires.
Eileen is survived by: 3 daughters, Carol A. (Billy Vanderploeg) Wenk of McHenry, IL, Maria (Harry) Chapman of Twin Lakes, WI and Joanne C. Benkowski of Elkhorn, WI; 6 grandchildren, Kristen E. Vanderploeg, Jennifer N. (Mike) Miller, Heather R.(Kurt) Waido, Mark D. (Jessica Neumeister) Wilson II, Erin E. (James) Johnson and Nathanael S. (Sarah Rabic) Benkowski; 4 great grandchildren, Colten, Addison, Joseph and Jase.
She was preceded in death by 1 son, Leonard in 1999 and 2 sisters, Angie Cortese and Mary Zolnerczyk.
A gathering of relatives and friends will be held from 4:00PM to 8:00PM with a Celebration of Life at 7:30PM on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 at the McHenry Recreation Center, 3636 Municipal Drive, McHenry, IL, 60050.
