Frank William Jackson Jr.

Frank W Jackson Jr., 96: of Elkhorn, WI, formerly a 23 year resident of Middle Inlet, WI died Thursday December 26, 2019 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center Elkhorn, WI. Frank was born July 9, 1923 in Havelock NE. He was the son of the late Frank W and Neva Jackson Sr. Frank served with the US Navy in the South Pacific during WWII aboard the USS Pakana. On July 5th 1947 in Milwaukee, WI Frank was united in marriage to Caroline E. Schmidt. Frank was a mail carrier for over 20 years with the US Post Office retiring in 1986. He was a member of the American Legion; in his younger days, he was a boxer in the golden gloves. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid outdoorsman who loved his property in Crivitz. Frank and Caroline were members of Grace Lutheran Church in Crivitz. He is survived by his wife on 72 years, Caroline, two children: Suzanne (Daniel) Kolacke of Elkhorn, WI and Randall (Nancy Poetzel) Jackson of Menomonee Falls, WI, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, two sisters : Joanne Eschenbacher of South Carolina and Muzette Popp of Pewaukee, WI and by his brother Roland (Hilda) Jackson of Jackson, WI. Frank was preceded in death by his son Danny Lee Jackson and by six siblings: Darrell, Dean, Wayne, Joyce, Zola, and Margie. Private family service will be held Sunday January 5, 2020.
