Gerald "Jerry" Charles Monty

Gerald “Jerry” C. Monty, age 77 of Elkhorn, WI, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 12, 2018 at his home.  He was born April 4, 1941 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Charles and Anna (Merlin) Monty.  Jerry worked as an industrial engineer for Maynard Steel and Navistar International throughout his career.  He was train enthusiast who liked working with G-Scale trains. Jerry was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.  He was a loving father and grandfather

Jerry is survived by his four children; Dawn Keul of Bay View, WI, Shawn (Julie) Monty of Eagle, WI, Kevin (Tari) Monty of Elkhorn, WI and Steven Monty of Austin, TX and nine grandchildren; Charles and Reggie Keul, Amanda, Nikki, Ashley, Jake, Ava, Conner and Holden Monty.  He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Dean Monty. 

Memorial service will be 12:00PM on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 104 S. Broad St. Elkhorn, WI, with Pastor Tom DeGroot officiating. Visitation will be 10:00AM until service time on Thursday at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jerry’s name to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Foundation, MS 3050 P.O.
