Hildegard C. Miller, author, poet and artist living in Welch, Minnesota, died Sunday, March 19, 2017 at her home in Elkhorn, WI. She was born and raised in the Catholic faith in Germany. She emigrated to the United State just before the outbreak of WWII. Her later childhood and teenage years were in the City of Chicago, Illinois where she met her husband, Edward F. Miller. Married in 1947, she has two children, Charles and Laura. She has three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Active in athletics, she was an avid ice skater and skier. She worked in various commercial industries and in government prior to her retirement.
Her writings, including words for music compositions are of aesthetic and spiritual context, uplifting in nature. Her artworks in several two dimensional media are impressionistic. The faith and zeal of Hildegard Miller are evident in all of her work.
Hildegard Miller is survived her daughter, Laura Roslof (Late husband James); her son, “Bud” Charles (Pamela) Miller. Fond granddaughters, Krista Baber, Jessica (Adam) Berge; and her grandson Matthew Roslof. She is remembered by her great-grandchildren Maxwell and Morgan Baber, Braden and Tanner Berge.
