Jack W. Remer

Jack W. Remer; 89 of Elkhorn, WI died Wednesday July 11, 2018 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center Elkhorn, WI.  He was born October 19, 1928 in Lake Villa IL the son of the late Paul F. and Rose L. (Koppen) Remer.  Jack was united in marriage to Patricia L. Maxon on March 6, 1948 in Williams Bay, WI. Pat died March 1, 2017.  For over 57 years Jack worked as an auto body technician, he worked for Melcher, DeHann, Elkhorn Motors and Keith’s Auto Body before retiring in 1993.  Jack was a member of the First Congregational-United Church of Christ Elkhorn and served on various church committees and served as Boy Scout Assistant Leader, member of the Elkhorn Pistol Club.  Family meant everything to Jack; he was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  Jack is survived by his six children; Jack (Judi) of Janesville, WI, Jim (Alice) of Mt. Horeb, WI, Julie (Jim) Forster of Elkhorn, WI, Mick (Cindy) Of Elkhorn, WI, Joel of Delavan, WI and David “Chin” Remer of Mosinee, WI, Ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and by a host of other relatives and friends.  Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 68 years Patricia, his sister Bette Marty.  Memorial service will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday July 17, 2018 at First Congregational–United Church of Christ 76 S Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI with Rev. Dr. Scott McLeod officiating.  Visitation will be at the church from 10:30 AM until time of service.  Burial will be at Dunbar Cemetery in the Town of Geneva, WI.  Memorials may be made in Jack’s name to the First Congregational-United Church of Christ of Elkhorn.  On-line guestbook is at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.   Arrangements were completed by Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory of Elkhorn, WI.
