Janice "Jan" (Seitz) Bentle

Janice Bentle, 81 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center surrounded by her family.  She was born January 12, 1938 in Omaha, NE, the daughter to the late Earl and Helen (Howes) Seitz.  Jan was united in marriage to Jim R. Bentle on June 12, 1959 in Omaha, NE.  Jim preceded her in death on March 6, 2014 after 54 years of marriage. She enjoyed dancing, bowling and golfing.  Jan was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church of Barrington, IL and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Elkhorn, where Jim and Jan both sang in the choir. She was a compassionate and faithful servant to her family and friends, always volunteering for various activities for church and school with her children. Jan was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Jan is survived by her nine children; Shelly (Ron) Stuck of Indianapolis, IN, Greg (Donna) Bentle of Jackson, MI, Carole (Ted) Lange of Palatine, IL, Barbara (Dave) Melchers of Algonquin, IL, Douglas (Dani) Bentle of Marietta, GA, Michael (Julie) Bentle of Barrington, IL, Mary Harger of St. Augustine, FL, Patricia (Drew) Cheek of Woodstock, GA and Thomas (Julie) Bentle of Fox River Grove, IL, twenty-eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, three siblings; Barbara Putnam of NE, Richard (Pam) Seitz of FL and Gary (Sandy) Seitz of NE, many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Mass will be 10:00AM on Friday, December 6, 2019 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 120 Ela St. Barrington, IL 60010.  Inurnment at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Elkhorn, WI.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Jan’s name to Holton Manor, 645 N Church St. Elkhorn, WI 53121.  Online guest book at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
