Jeffrey Alan Johns

Jeffrey A. Johns: 62, of Elkhorn, WI died Monday February 19, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.  He was born March 14, 1955 in Davenport, Iowa the son of the late Fay H. and Clella (Berg) Johns.  Jeff was united in marriage to Victoria S. Sokoll on February 28, 1981 in Davenport, Iowa.  He was a property claims specialist and estimator with State Farm Insurance for over 28 years.  Jeff was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Bears and the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and woodworking. Jeff coached youth football at East Troy and was a former coach for youth pony league in Bettendorf, IA. He and Viki enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Jamaica.  Jeff played trumpet for many years with his brother in the Mark Johns Orchestra.  He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Jeff was grateful that he was able to reconnect with his brother and to be able to share the many fond memories of the past that they had together.  He will be deeply missed by his wife of 36 years, Viki, his three children: Ryan (Morgan) Johns of Oconomowoc, WI,   Danielle Johns and Dakota Sokoll both of Elkhorn, WI. His granddaughter Reese Johns and godchild Zoe Kosche, his brother Mark Johns of Bettendorf, IA and brother in-law : Patrick “Pat” (Cindy) Sokoll of Loveland, CO and by a special friend to the family Juliann Dieringer of Elkhorn, WI.  Jeff is further survived by a host of other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer “Jeni” Johns and his parents and grandparents.   Visitation will be 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM followed with a funeral service at 3:00 PM Saturday February 24, 2018 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI with Pastor Patrick Sokoll officiating.  Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery in the Town of Spring Prairie, WI.  On-line guestbook is at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
