Katherine (Haydek) Copeland

Katherine Copeland, 93, of Lake Geneva, WI died Friday January 20, 2017 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center Elkhorn, WI.  She was born December 15, 1923 in Chicago, IL.  Katherine was the daughter of the late Alex and Bessie Haydek.  She was united in marriage to Edward George Copeland on November 7, 1943 in Chicago, IL.  Ed died February 20, 2007.  Katherine worked for over 30 years at Heavy-Duty Mfg. of Lake Geneva, WI retiring in 1988.  She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Elkhorn; Katherine and Edward spent many years volunteering for meals on wheels and entertaining the residedents with music at the Williams Bay Care Center in Williams Bay, WI.  Katherine enjoyed traveling with her husband, but her greatest joy was spending time her family; especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her three children; John (Rosemary) Copeland of Chicago, IL, Pearl Tibbitts of Hudson, FL and Jeri (Dennis) Greving of Elkhorn, WI, her fifteen grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren and by a host of other relatives and friends.  Katherine was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Edward, great-grandson Tyler Schmitz, son-in-law; Wayne Tibbitts, her sister Ann and her two brothers, Leo and John.  Funeral Mass will be 11:30 AM Tuesday January 24, 2017 at St. Patrick Catholic Church 107 W. Walworth Street Elkhorn, WI with Father Oriol Regales officiating.  Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Elkhorn, WI.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N.
