Nancy A. Denney, age 80, of Roscoe, IL, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at her home.
The former Nancy Ann Kaskin was born on October 3, 1937 in Burlington, WI, the daughter of the late William George and Astrid Marion Viola Peterson Kaskin. On February 18, 1961 in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Slades Corners, WI, Nancy was united in marriage to Leon J. Denney. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1982. They lived in Loves Park, IL before moving to Roscoe, IL
Nancy graduated from Wilmot High School in the Class of 1955. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Warner-Lambert in Rockford, IL and also for the Roscoe School District as a cook. She taught and made many ceramics. She enjoyed bowling, was a big country music fan, loved line dancing and met many country stars. She was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Rockton, IL and a former member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Slades Corners, WI.
Nancy is survived by: her son, Drew (Erin) Denney of Hixson, TN; a granddaughter, Allison, 9 sisters, Juanita Grady, Georgia Smith, Patricia (Johan) Kjellander, Joy Belter, Judy (Richard) Witt, Sharon (Robert) McCormack, Laurel (Richard) Rego, Gail (Douglas) Schaal and Kim (Craig) Gebauer; 4 brothers, Gordon (Betty) Kaskin, Benjamin (Donna) Kaskin, Ronald Kaskin and Randy (Kim) Kaskin; brother in law, Ken Hinzpeter.
Nancy was preceded in death by: her husband, Leon Denney, parents, William and Astrid Kaskin; sister, Betty Hinzpeter; brother in laws, Walter Grady, Robert Smith and Ronald Belter; nephews, James Kjellander, Mark Kaskin and a niece, Karen Bowling.
A special thank you to Nancy’s family members, her friends and neighbors who for years helped in so many ways. She loved you all so much, and she couldn’t have done it without you.
The Denney Family will receive friends from 9:00AM until the time of Memorial Services at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 39506 60th St. Burlington, WI (Slades Corners).
