Paul A. Oehler, 78, of Elkhorn, WI died unexpectedly Sunday August 6, 2017 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center Elkhorn, WI. Paul was born January 19, 1939 in Moravia, Iowa. He was the son of the late Leon M. and Wanda (Kaster) Oehler-Bruner. Paul was united in marriage to D. Elaine Olson on June 15, 1963 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Calamus, Iowa. Paul was a Middle School Social Studies teacher for over 39 years, teaching with the Elkhorn Area School District for over 29 years retiring in 1999. He was a member of Sugar Creek Lutheran Church, he enjoyed woodworking, photography, fishing, golfing and working in his garden. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his wife of 54 years, Elaine, his three children; Sienna (John) Nania of Omaha, Nebraska, Greta (Todd) Kapp of Redgranite, WI and James “J.P.” (Kristi) Oehler of Elkhorn, WI, by his eight grandchildren; Max, Ian, Zak, Alaina, Zoa, Landen, Sebastian and Koraline, two sisters; Dixie (George) Farris and Sonja Foster both of Lebanon, IN and by a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday August 11, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N.
