Richard "Dick" Lloyd Ames

Richard “Dick” Lloyd Ames; 85, of Elkhorn, WI died Saturday October 6, 2018 at Ridgestone Terrace in Elkhorn, WI.  He was born November 12, 1932 in Elkhorn, WI the son of the late Lloyd J. and Mildred (Wright) Ames.  Richard graduated with the Class of 1950 from Elkhorn High School.  He served in the US Army from April 15, 1953 until April 14, 1955. On October 1, 1969 he was united in marriage to Doris Clapper, she died June 19, 2017.  For over 30 years Richard worked for Chrysler Belvidere Assembly Plant of Belvidere, IL.  He enjoyed riding his Harley- Davidson motorcycle, woodworking and was an avid trap shooter.   He is survived by his sister-in-law; Donna Ames, a niece and nephew: Mary (Tom Wigton) Ames and John ( Marisol) Ames all of Elkhorn, WI eight great-nieces & nephews, step-son: Roger (Gladys) Clapper of Delavan, WI.  He was preceded in death by his two brothers; Jack and Donald Ames.  Private family graveside service will be held at North Geneva Cemetery in the Town of Geneva.  On-Line guestbook is at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.  Arrangements completed by Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory of Elkhorn, WI.
