Shirley Delores (Lemire) Wilson

Shirley Delores Wilson, 86, of Elkhorn, WI died Friday June 29, 2018 at Brookdale Senior Living Middleton, WI.  She was born June 12, 1932 in Willimantic CT the daughter of the late George and Alice (LaVoie) Lemire.  Shirley was united in marriage to Donald Roy Wilson on November 13, 1954 in Willimantic, CT.  Donald died August 31, 2001.  For many years she worked for Holton Band Instrument Company making Sousaphones and French horns; she also worked at the Elk Restaurant as waitress for over ten years.  Shirley was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Elkhorn, WI. She was a “talented knitter, sewer and crafter” and volunteered with Meals on Wheels.  She loved to walk all over Elkhorn with her beloved dog Barney.  She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her two children; Terri M. (Jim) Wilson-Carman and Jeff (Vicki) Wilson all of Madison, WI, two grandsons; Patrick Carman and Max Wilson, her brother Jerry Lemire of Willimantic, CT and her sister; Marie Paquette of Brooklyn, CT and by a host of other relatives and friends.  Shirley is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Donald, brother and sister-in-law; Donald (Avis) Lemire, brother-in-law; Clifford Paquette and sister-in-law; Jeanie Lemire.  Saturday July 7, 2018 a visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM with a prayer service at 10:00 AM officiated by Father Oriol Regales at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N.
