Albert J. Reed, 91 of Elkhorn, WI died Sunday December 18, 2022 at his residence.  He was born July 17, 1931 in Elkhorn, WI the son of the late Birdell R. and Martha S. (Schroeder) Reed.  Al graduated from Elkhorn High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.  He enlisted and served in the US Navy during the Korean war.  On June 12, 1954 he was united in marriage to Mary Harrington in Elkhorn, WI.  Al owned and operated the Reed Furniture store of Elkhorn from 1957 until his retirement in 1996.  Al was a former member of the Elkhorn Lion's Club, active with his church the First Congregational-United Church of Christ Elkhorn, WI.  He was an avid golfer, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching and feeding the deer in his back yard.  Al was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed by his wife of 68 years, Mary, his three children: Steve Reed of Elkhorn, WI, Jeff Reed of Elkhorn, WI and Cindy Reed of Bristol, WI.  His five grandchildren: Suzie (Joe) Nawikas of Truckee, CA, Joe (Brenda) Reed, Jim (Erica) Reed, Olivia Reed all of Elkhorn, WI and Jena Barr of Tampa, FL., and by five great-grandchildren Maggie, Lettie, Clay, Nellie and Julia and by his brother Birdell "Mike" Reed Jr. of Elkhorn, WI.  Al is further survived by a host of relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Kyle Reed.

Visitation will be held 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a funeral service at 3:00 pm Tuesday January 3, 2023 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI.  Burial will be at Hazel Ridge Cemetery Elkhorn, WI.  Memorials may be made in Al's name to: First Congregational-United Church of Christ 76 S.
