Elkhorn: Arlene L. Hansen, 87, of N. Lincoln Street Elkhorn, WI died Thursday July 10, 2014 at her residence. She was born June 27, 1927 in the Town of Lyons, WI. She was the daughter of the late William A. and Martha (Pantel) Berndt. On November 4, 1950 she was united in marriage to Svend O. Hansen in Elkhorn, WI. Svend died September 14, 1996. Arlene was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed to travel and was an avid fan of the Milwaukee Brewers. Arlene is survived by her two children: Jeff Hansen of Elkhorn and Judy (Steve Jones) Hurley of Delavan, WI. Six grandchildren: Jason (Angie) Hansen of Elkhorn, Rachel (Shane) Rode of Elkhorn, Aaron (Melissa) Hansen of Greenfield, Nathan (Kati) Hansen of Elkhorn, Nicole Hansen of Madison and Rebecca (Brian) Jordon of Freeport, IL. Fourteen great-grandchildren, one sister Audrey Frey of Lyons, WI and two sisters in law; Shirley Berndt of Burlington, WI and Phyllis Hansen of Oregon, WI. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Svend, three sisters; Florence Hoffman, Marcella and Bernice Berndt, five brothers; Lyle, Willard, Hilbert, Lawrence and Donald Berndt. Funeral service for Arlene will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday July 16, at St. John's Lutheran Church 104 S. Broad Street Elkhorn, WI with Rev. Thomas DeGroot officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in the Town of Delavan, WI. Visitation will be Tuesday July 15, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N.
