Barbara A. (Clauer) Nielsen, 86 of Elkhorn, WI, died Monday, March 6, 2017 at Arbor Village in Lake Geneva, WI.  She was born August 4, 1930 in Elkhorn, WI, the daughter of the late George R. and Mary (Hoffmann) Clauer.  Barbara graduated from Elkhorn Area High School Class of 1948.  She was united in marriage to Robert W. Nielsen on April 11, 1984 at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church.  Robert preceded her in death on June 1, 1990. Barbara enjoyed traveling with her husband, quilting, needle work and gardening.  She owned and operated "It's A Stitch" from 1974 till 1992 in Elkhorn, WI. Spending time with family and friends meant everything to Barbara.  She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Richard) Kelman of Lake Geneva, son-in-law, Robert Grenzow of Sumas, WA, granddaughter, Amanda Grenzow of Sumas, WA, sister-in-law, Charlotte Clauer of Elkhorn, nieces and nephews.  Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Karen Grenzow and brother, Toby Clauer.

Memorial service at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church, N5690 Cobblestone Rd Elkhorn, WI, with Rev. Dick Inglett.  Visitation will be 12:30 PM until service time Friday at church.  Inurnment will be at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Sugar Creek Lutheran Church.  Online guest book at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.  Arrangements handled by Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory of Elkhorn.
