Barbara D. Hayes, 89 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Holton Manor Nursing Home.  She was born March 23, 1933 in El Dorado, KS.  Barbara was united in marriage to John H. Hayes on April 7, 1957 in Mt. Vernon, IL. John preceded her in death on August 3, 1989.  She was an avid reader throughout her life and enjoyed traveling, attending garage sales and fishing.  Barb was always friendly and outgoing with her friends and neighbors.  She loved to spend time with her family, especially hosting her Thanksgiving and Christmas family feasts.  Barb also loved all of her dogs and cats.

Barbara is survived by her two sons: Steven (Patty) Hayes and Mark Hayes, nine grandchildren: Jennifer Foether, Lindsey Timms, Matt (Hannah) Hayes, Mary McHugh, Megan Hayes, Kelsey Hayes, Ray McHugh, Morgan Hayes, and Marshall Hayes and her eleven great-grandchildren: Hanna, Austin, Paige, Autumn, Payton, Emily, Judy, Jace, Kris, Fred and Athena.  She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 32 years, John, daughter, Karen McHugh and brother, Frank Hanna.
