Barbara Ann (Haas) Trapp, 85, of Delavan, WI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn. Born to Edward Jr. and Elizabeth “Betty” (Long) Haas in Mt. Pleasant, PA on August 28, 1940, she spent most of her childhood in Pennsylvania. At age 14, she moved to Chicago, graduating in 1958 from Waller High School. Barb married Marvin N. Trapp on March 2, 1965. They were married for 57 years until his passing in 2022.
As a child, Barb enjoyed playing jacks and pick-up sticks. She fondly remembered baking bread with her Grandma Long, who would always save a small piece of dough to deep fry just for her. As an adult, Barb’s greatest joy was raising her children and spending time with family. She enjoyed playing card games like Euchre and Garbage. Her favorite pastimes included gardening, spending time on Facebook, collecting recipes, reading, ironing, trying her luck at casinos, and cheering on her favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. She will be remembered affectionately for her kindness and for her infectious laughter and smile.
Barb leaves behind a family who is grateful to have shared life with her, including her sons: Mike (Lisa) Koelling, Don (Becky) Trapp, and Ken (Anne) Trapp; her daughters: Debbie (Dave) Watson, and Susan Fell; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind three siblings, Peggy Haas, Arlene Jones, and James Walton, a brother-in-law, Emory Ludtke, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Barb was preceded in death by her grandparents Benjamin and Effie Long, her parents, her loving husband Marvin, her sister Katherine Ludtke, and her son-in-law Gregory Fell.
