IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Betty Lou
Meyer
June 4, 1940 – November 17, 2024
Betty Lou (Mauck) Meyer, age 84, of Twin Lakes, WI, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 4, 1940, in Stephens City, Virginia, the daughter of the late Elwood and Ruth Mauck. After her high school graduation, Betty loved job as an operator at the Stephens City phone company. Soon after, she married and found her true calling as a mother. Though Betty wore many hats, her favorite job and thing she loved doing the most was just that, being a mother. She loved being a mom to her three girls and taking care of others. Whether it was her own girls, friends, or the elderly, she provided them with love, comfort and food. She was at her happiest when she was taking care of those she loved. Betty was lucky enough to find love again with Ronald and spent her life with him until his passing in 1992. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time outdoors. She was very loving and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her grandkids and family. Anyone who knew Betty would say that she could be quiet at times but was also very quick witted and had the best sense of humor. Everyone knew Betty as "MawMaw"- whether it was her grandkids, own kids, or friends of family.
"How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these." -George Washington Carver- A quote that Betty loved.
She will be missed deeply.
Betty is survived by her children; Kim Efinger, Rhonda (Matt) McCormick and Jennifer (Mike) McCormick, sister; Mary Blazej, brother; Jimmy Mauck, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband; Ronald, first husband; friend, Donald, parents; Elwood and Ruth and siblings; Dallen, Debbie, Bobby, Dennis and Joyce.
