Brian K. McKinney, age 53 of Elkhorn, died on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville, WI after fighting a 6 year battle with cancer. He was born in Monroe, WI, the son of Richard and Phyllis (Royce) McKinney.  Brian was united in marriage to Shari Artlip Melahn on June 12, 1993 in Lake Geneva, WI.  He was member of Wisconsin Sheet Metal Workers Local No. 18 and was employed as a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker for over 20 years.  Brian enjoyed spending time with his family and often invited his nieces and nephews to attend sports events.  Brian was an avid Packers, Brewers and Badgers fan and was a collector of sport memorabilia and hats.  He enjoyed playing golf with his family and friends. Brian was an animal lover and member of the Wisconsin Humane Society.  Brian often delivered pet food to the Lakeland Animal Shelter, Elkhorn, WI.

Brian is survived by his loving wife, Shari of Elkhorn, son, Matthew, mother, Phyllis of Monroe, WI, and three brothers; Michael (Sue) McKinney of Madison , Kevin (Karen) McKinney of Beloit, and Tim McKinney of Avalon.  He was preceded in death by his father, Richard, daughter, Mallory, son, Zachary, and sister, Suzie Clark.

Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes/Crematory, 730 N. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn, WI who is assisting the family. Graveside and burial will be at 1:30 PM at Greenwood Cemetery in Brodhead, WI.  Following the burial will be "A Celebration of Life" for Brian at the Cardinal Lanes, Brodhead, WI.
