Buddy L. Rader; 86, of Elkhorn, WI died Monday May 7, 2018 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center Elkhorn, WI. He was born March 11, 1932 in Lima, Ohio. He was the son of the late Elvin and Carrie L. (Oakley) Rader. Buddy served with the US Marines During the Korean War from 1952 until 1954 earning a Purple Heart. On July 24, 1953 in Lima Ohio he was united in marriage to Betty M. Pinney. Over Buddy's working career he was employed with Neon Products, Everbrite and Massey Ferguson. Buddy was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elkhorn and the Elkhorn VFW Post # 6375. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his wife of 64 years, Betty, his two sons: Rod Rader of Oak Creek, WI and Stephen (Amanda) Rader of Ham Lake, MN, Three grandsons; Nathan (Anya) Garside of Thailand, Aaron (Brittany) Garside of Ham Lake, MN and Christopher Rader of Ham Lake, MN, one Great-grandson Keaton Garside. Buddy was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers. Memorial service with military honors provided by Elkhorn VFW Post 6375 will be 2:00 PM Saturday May 12, 2018 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI with Rev. William McBride officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 PM until time of services.
