Charles R. Laufenberg, age 69, of Lake Geneva, WI, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Alden of Long Grove Rehab and Health Care Center in Long Grove, IL.

Charles Raymond Laufenberg was born on July 27, 1948 in Elkhorn, WI, the son of the late James Raymond and Helen Zitka Laufenberg.  On July 10, 1970 in Elkhorn, WI, Charles was united in marriage to Nancy M. Wasikowski.  She preceded him in death on September 15, 2002.  Charles lived in Pell Lake, WI for many years before moving to Lake Geneva, WI.

Charles served as a Sp4 in the U.S. Army from January 22, 1968 until discharge on January 5, 1970.  He formerly worked as a machinist for Brake Parts in McHenry, IL.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, bowling and was an avid Chicago Bears Fan.

Charles is survived by: 2 sons, Steven (Lisette) Laufenberg of Lake Geneva, WI and Kenneth Laufenberg of Lake Geneva, WI; 3 grandchildren, Dylan, Nicholas and Nicole; 1 brother, Kenneth of Lyons, WI.

Services with Military Honors will be held at 1:00PM Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI.  For online guestbook: haaselockwoodfhs.com.  The Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory of Genoa City is serving the family.
