Obituary

Charles "Chuck" W. Kullberg age 71 of Elkhorn, Wisconsin died peacefully at home on Thursday November 13, 2025. Chuck was born in Elkhorn, WI on January 17, 1954; son of the late Walter and Dorothy (Turnquist) Kullberg. Chuck grew up and went to school in Williams Bay; to him the best part of everyday was band. Chuck's passion was music, and he furthered his education with the intent of getting a degree in music education. As he was completing his studies, family health issues brought him back to the family jewelry business. His experience helping his dad from a young age gave him the start to what became his life's career. In 1982, Chuck hired an employee who would someday become his wife, and together they continued to run the business until they retired in 2023. The store didn't keep Chuck away from music entirely; Chuck put together a group called the Jolly Boys Brass Choir, who became well known for crashing business Christmas parties, nursing homes and playing in many Elkhorn Christmas parades. At the age of 24, Chuck earned his pilot's license and kept up with the hours, and maintenance needed to retain it over the years. He took on the project of building his own plane and started the process in his basement. Nine years later, in 2003, Foxtrot Charlie took off for its first flight with Chuck in the cockpit as pilot. With Chuck's declining health, the plane eventually was sold but still flies today.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl; daughter Kate (Chad) Marchewka; grandchildren Henry & Ada Marchewka; mother-in-law Karen (Michael) Vitale; father in-law Neill (Pam) Frame; sister and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews; Robin Pierson, Barb (Craig) Honeyman, Jim Frame, Zach (Emily) Frame, Kyle Dailey, Taytum, Ava, Makayla and Nora. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mary Lou and John Kullberg.

A memorial service for Chuck will be held at Williams Bay Lutheran Church, 11 Collie Street Williams Bay, WI on Saturday January 17, 2026, at 12Noon. Visitation will take place before the service beginning at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Chuck's name to Aurora at Home Hospice Burlington 116 N.
